This explains what happens to your details when you sign up for one of my free guides on connorbower.com. In short: I keep your email address so I can send you the guide and my emails, and you can leave at any time.

Who I am

This site is run by Connor Bower, based in the UK. I'm the data controller for the details you give me here. Contact me at hello@connorbower.com about anything on this page.

What I collect

• Your email address, when you sign up.
• Where you came from: if the link you clicked had tracking tags (for example, which of my YouTube videos it was under), I save those with your sign-up. Your browser keeps them for up to 30 days so a later sign-up is still credited.
• Which guide you asked for, and whether you open and click my emails (my email provider records this).

What I use it for

To send you the guide you asked for, and then my emails about building with AI. I use the tracking tags only to see which videos and posts bring people to the site. The legal basis is your consent, which you give when you sign up and can withdraw at any time.

Who else handles it

• Kit (kit.com) stores my email list and sends the emails.
• Vercel (vercel.com) hosts this website.

Both may process data outside the UK. Where they do, they use the safeguards UK law requires, such as the UK International Data Transfer Addendum. I never sell your details.

How long I keep it

Until you unsubscribe. After that I keep only what I need to make sure you're not emailed again.

Your rights

You can unsubscribe with the link at the bottom of every email. You can also ask me for a copy of your data, or ask me to correct or delete it, by emailing hello@connorbower.com. If you're unhappy with how I've handled your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.

Cookies

This site doesn't set cookies. It stores the tracking tags described above in your browser's local storage for up to 30 days.
